YTS.AG is the REAL YTS domain for a new YIFY group

YTS.AG is the result of our effort to reinstate the old YTS style website, and restore the YIFY release group content for the fans of YIFY, by the fans of YIFY. If YIFY fans want to continue in the tradition of yts.to, YTS.AG is the new brand to follow.

Almost two weeks ago, we announced to you that YTS.AG is the new domain name for the YIFY release group, of which torrents were previously uploaded on yts.to. There were lots of debates for YTS.AG being the real website for the YIFY release group. So we feel obliged to make some clarifications.

21st of October 2015: yts.to goes down. The sudden disappearance of YTS has been quite a mystery: there haven't been any announcements on the site, on their twitter, facebook page, or anywhere else.

4th of November 2015: MPAA confirms that they are behind the shutdown of yts.to

5th of November 2015: yts.to operator signed a deal with MPAA to avoid a lawsuit, most probably involving information sharing. Also the yts.to domain name has been transferred to the MPAA.

The people we talked with expressed their particular concerns about the loss of the new movies that the YIFY release group would have contributed to YIFY fans over the years, through the YTS website. So we felt like we had to take action.

We started an effort to salvage as much of YTS data as possible. Two weeks ago, we began collecting YTS data from many different sources: the Google cache, archive.org, Kickass Torrents copies of YIFY torrents etcetera. A few people who still had a large set of cached data and torrents from the YTS API available on their computers helped us as well.

YTS.AG has been born by combining all these different data sets, sanitizing the data, and recovering a large amount of the torrents uploaded by YIFY. We are a new team / releasing group continuing the YTS / YIFY project. So, we have created the domain name YTS.AG for publishing all of our newly released torrents, under YIFY release.

Our new team is continuing the YTS / YIFY project by releasing new movies daily (720p, 1080p and 3D) at the same quality and size like the previous YIFY team. The audio on our new releases is improved (now encoding to 128kbps comparing to 96kbps on old ones), plus we can safely say that even the video is a bit better.

An answer to all the negative allegations made to our team: YES, YTS.AG is the closest thing that anybody can get to being the REAL website for new the YIFY group releases. Unfortunately, classic YIFY releases are no more, and yts.to is gone as well. Yet, we are continuing where YIFY left off so you can also find on YTS.AG all the movies/torrents published by the classic YIFY releases. The quality and size of the movies are preserved, only the people behind the project have changed. For now, we are still using YIFY as the name of our new release group, but we may change this in the future.

We can guarantee you 100% that it is safe to download both previous YIFY releases and new releases from YTS.AG. The torrents are malware-free and the website has no ads at all.

We have no intention of collecting the users personal information at all for any purpose. In that spirit, Registration is turned off for a limited time for the purpose of building trust. Feel free to download at your hearts content. Give us a try, and decide for yourself.

We trust our group not to have the same fate as yts.to; although we do not know specifics with what really happened with them, just that they have signed a deal with the MPAA. Though if we are going on this road, we know we must act differently, so as to not to share the same fate as yts.to.

As for Torrentfreak articles, we have contacted Ernesto today to explain to him that there are false allegations in his articles and that we are guilty for his previous articles containing misinformation; the fact that we did not make it very clear from the beginning, that we are just continuing the old YIFY group work. We are willing to correct our mistakes and still waiting for his reply.

The other main torrent sites wrongly think that we are directly affiliated with EZTV, and this is one of the main reasons why they do not want us to upload torrents to them. We just pay to EZTV for advertisement. Another one would be that we use the same name, YIFY, instead of choosing a new one. This is why we are thinking of choosing a new one, but very similar though, so people would know what to expect from our releases.

Happy watching ;-)
